Few skills will impact your life as positively as learning to speak in public. It will help you take your place with exceptional people in all walks of life.
Fear of speaking in front of people is the number one issue that new members are concerned with. One of the main reasons that the ASC approach is so successful is that it takes place over a length of time in one of the most supportive environments you will find.
You can take some time to become comfortable and develop in small and easy steps in the early days. However once you see how others are doing at all levels of development, you will be surprised how quickly you want to get involved.
Meetings are structured yet informal and allow participants to develop in a friendly and supportive setting. Most importantly, it's a lot of fun and you'll make some good friends too.
The benefits of speaking well in public are increased self-confidence in social situations, interviews and greater promotional prospects at work.

Chaucer Speakers Club is for people who want to improve their communication skills or enjoy public speaking. It’s a great friendly and supportive environment with a number of speakers ranging from beginners to UK champions and every level in between.
We meet at The Kent & Canterbury Club, 17 Old Dover Rd, Canterbury, CT1 3JB. Our meetings commence at 8pm and we usually finish at around 10pm. Our season runs from September through to July.
We look forward to welcoming you in person. There is no need to make arrangements just drop in and spend the evening getting a feel for the club and the ASC. Your first 3 meetings are free of charge. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!!
